This is the first good boulder that you come upon on the main boulder gardens trail. you approach it from the back which is a big slab that can be used for easy warm ups.

Getting There 

Hike up the main trail, instead of heading up the hill towards the big boulders stay straight and walk up the wash basin. Johnny Boulder is only about 50 feet from the trail head.
