DescriptionThe Ice Pit is located in a Quarry near Green Bay, WI. It is run by a non-profit club made up of members from WI and IL. Water is pumped from the bottom of the quarry, and then across the top of the walls to form the ice. Routes are generally 100 ft in length and rarely easier than WI 4. Featured Route For The Ice Pit
Many distinct lines are present at the Ice Pit, and change from year to year. The South Wall usually holds somewhere around fifteen distinct lines, all with about 100 feet of vertical. In good years, the West Wall will form slightly shorter climbs, but these climbs tend to contain very steep, sometimes freestanding, columns.
