Description

This is the first sizable wall you encounter as you walk down the old road into the lower Shoshone Canyon. It is characterized by towering blobs and other strange shapes jutting up directly above the paved road. There is a large Gully that splits this wall and leads (very steeply) up to the parking area for the Island. This wall is directly across from the Power Station Wall.

Getting There

Park at the last (Western most) pullout on the South side of the Highway (14/16/20) as you are driving West through Shoshone Canyon. Hop the guardrail and find the trail roughly behind the historical interpretive sign. Follow the trail down the hillside to the old road and continue West along the road down into the Canyon.
