Description Suggest change

About as remote as bouldering gets. At this cool little area you are absolutely guaranteed to have solitude. In fact, there was no chalk on any of the boulders when we were there and it didn't look like anyone had been there in years. Nonetheless, there is a nice assortment of quartzite boulders here including quite a few moderate lines.

Getting There Suggest change

From the main zone drive south, go right at the fork on warm point road and drive past warm point. Make a left on Blind Canyon road and drive for quite a long ways, past Snake Canyon road, to Garrison-Black Rock Road. Hang a right and drive towards the obvious Crystal Peak in the distance. Pass Crystal Peak and proceed down the other side of the mountain. At the bottom of the hill about 3 miles past the peak is a pasture, on the far side of this a smaller road takes off to the left. Take this road heading south. Drive until you see some big cattle watering troughs on the right. Past the second of these, find a faint jeep trail that leads east. Follow this til it peters out, then hike towards the quartzite cliffs over a big sand dune, bearing uphill and to the right. At the base of the cliff you will find the Scorpion boulders, it is only a little bit further to the main area and the Sand Woman area.
