Moving up the slab on the 1st pitch of The End, 5....

Add Photo  Add Comment    Printer View

Description

1. Climb the left side of the slab, and either climb up a left slanting groove (harder, but well protected), or climb up the middle of the slab, until possible to step right onto an overlap and then up a step short section to the large ledge and belay.

2. Climb up the steep bulge at the back of the ledge (crux). Move up a delicate slab, to pass through the overhang and the obvious break. Finish easily up the slab above the overhang.

Location

Passed the tumbled blocks midway along the buttress, lies a slab. This climb starts up the left side of the slab.
