Has anyone climbed at The Cookie sheet in Yosemite? From what I have seen on MP looks like a lot of mellow fairly well protected "slab" climbs. Is the area worth checking out? Thanks, any information would be appreciate!

I've been there twice & it's been awhile so I don't remember the routes so well. If solitude and slab climbing are your thing it's a good place to spend a day.

Rob, I've been there a couple of times. Park in the N. side of road tiny pullout just East of a huge boulder field. Walk west on the old road bed past Huge boulders, and then find your way through them and on to a cairned path weaving its way up the rocky slope to the wall. It's perfect solitude up there, and some really nice 3 pitch slab routes with great views of the valley from the top. The long traverse ledge to many of the routes is pretty fun, exposed 3rd class.

Super late... lots of good easy slab climbing, but I jumped on a few routes that were definately not well protected (don't remember which ones). I remember looking down a few times thinking "fark i can't see the last bolt..."

It might have been easy parts of something and maybe I was just scared not to know it was easy, who knows.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
