BETA PHOTO: North side of the Butt Plug.

Current San Diego County Advisories MORE INFO >>>

Start with the two obvious hand holds that are about shoulder height. Use the crack to the left and a couple of decent sized hand holds to the right to make your way to the top. Didn't know if this was already named so I'm just referring to it as Butt Plug North Side.

The route starts on the north side of the boulder.

Crash pad and spotter.

I remember there were a few plausible holds on the East overhung face, too. Anyone happen to have the beta on that?

Yup! That's probably the best problem on the boulder in my opinion. It gets the YDS grade of 5.10d which would correlate to V1.

I did that over hanging face, it took me a while because the foot holds were so polished from so many climbers, but I scrubbed the feet with a brush and eventually got it. I would give it a V3+ due to a strange but cool (somewhat slopey) topout. It would be a V2- if the first few foot holds weren't so slick.
