View from The Beach. Luckily, one can't see the t...

A beautiful setting (north-ish facing, next to the sea) and an area that gets very little traffic. Unfortunately, the routes here are, to put it nicely, less than desirable. If your plan to climb in Sikati Cave was changed by the sight of 15 scooters and two cars at the parking pull-out, The Beach should definitely not be Plan B. In my honest opinion, this place is not worth a visit. Routes are overgrown, the rock is razor sharp, and the climbs are simply not enjoyable. None of the routes we did deserve any stars (the book gives every climb at least 2 stars). The view is, however, beautiful. The take-home message?: go here to swim and relax (but watch out for see urchins!), not to climb.

Bulgy start leads to easier face climbing. The crux starts on the tufa all the way to the chains. Very sequency. Left or right that is the question?...[more]   Browse More Classics in International

I disagree with you. While I only climbed one 10a that was really sharp, I'd have to say that the 5.12's are beautiful, aesthetic climbs that aren't sharp at all. If you come here to climb 5.8,9,10s, then ya maybe it's not a good idea but the two or three 5.12s here are definitely worth it. Plus you get to swim and climb! bonus!
