Great piece Jon, way to keep at it after all those whippers! An inspiring story of a very infamous and seemingly terrifying route!

Cool Jon! You can probably call yourself a real "rock climber" now!!

Baller. Irony central reading such a proud post with nearly 2000 posts on a supertopo forum in which the 'sac less' argue that these types of routes are elitist, museum pieces that no one climbs.

The spirit of adventure is alive and well!

Awesome! I saw that you did the edge at Tahquitz a couple years ago, does that now feel like a walk in the park compared to BY?

Best post I've read in a LONG time! This just made my Monday to hear about you getting after it and completing such a monumental route. Awesome send!

Awesome lead and great trip report! You may have inspired me to go dig up my own pair of balls and brush the dust off.

While the BY is leaps and bounds more difficult and serious than the Edge, the Edge still commands much respect.

Much, much respect! This was so inspiring to me. I totally get it.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
