| Thousands of feet of ice in Ten Mile/Officers Gulch! With no snow, many of the gullies are full of WI2-3 for thousands of feet. We climbed Around The Corner to the summit of Peak 4, made for an excellent alpine route.

Actually walked around the ice park today, things are forming up, but it is really thin and lots of the walls have no ice. Need some colder temps as there is a lot of melting going on during the day. Watch the weather if things get cold you could be good to go, if not you might want to look at climbing at some of the higher elevation areas. | FLAG |

| Jaws is in the Moraine park/ Fern Lake area. The same area that's been on fire since Oct. 9. It's been closed for at least the last two weeks up there and as far as I've heard is still closed to public access. By the way... all of moraine basin is a lovely shade of black. It may be awhile before it gets opened back up! | FLAG |

| The Ouray Ice Park posted this... they're getting ready to open and might be open as early as the 15th. I think it's unlikely that much else is in up there... but since I live in Washington, I can't really go look. This is a pic from the bridge looking into the Schoolroom...

| The Ice Park posted the following: The Ouray Ice Park will open our 2012/2013 season on Saturday, December 22, 2012. The current cold blast has been awesome, and we are cranking out some serious ice. We were hoping to get away with an early opening on the 15th, but we are not quite ready for prime time. | FLAG |
