Teufelstisch (Devil's desk), or Teufelfelsen (Devil's Rock), only houses about 20 climbs, though the climbs are diverse and interesting on solid granite. Most climbs are protected by glued-in bolts. Climbs range from 5.5 ~ 5.11d with most falling between 5.6 and 5.10b. Make note that the foot of this wall is narrow with a overgrown cliff below it.
Teufelstisch (pronounced Toy-fell-tish) is made up of three main sections: east, north, and south sides. Most routes lie on the south side.
From Regensburg or Passau: Take the A3 to the Straubing exit and go north on the B20 toward Cham, after about 300 meters, take the right and go to Mitterfels. The main road will split at the Eurospar, take Lindenstrasse, the street to the right. At the T take the right down Verkehrsberuhigte Straße downhill to the Mitterfelser Schloß. Park to the right, behind the church. Then walk down the steep footpath into the Perlbachtal. Shortly before the house in the valley, hike uphill to the right, to the summit, from which you will hike another 5 minutes descending the opposite side left to the crags. Confused?...see the google map.
