Tent camping, 15 -20min from Troon North, Mcdowell Mtn area?

Looking for a place to camp for a couple months in the area of Troon North Golf Course. The cheaper the better, showers would be nice. Or BLM, whats out there for free camping? Any help would be great thanks, Jim
