This is a small state park. The rock wraps around the gorge about one mile and is very shady and cool even in the summer. It is very secluded most days because it is not well known. The rock is a mix of all kinds but there is some good granite. It tends to be flaky around the falls. This is a great place for beginners or if you just want some quick climbs. It is 150ft to 200ft at the falls and 100 or less in the rest of the gorge. There is also some bouldering too.
Getting There
On I-40 take exit 338 and go left or right depending on if you are coming from the east or west toward the Gas station on the south side of 40 on Westel Rd. Continue on this Rd until it dead ends into HWY 70, go right on 70 and it will take you to the town of Ozone. The parking lot is on the left side of the Rd just past the entrance of the town. The parking lot has a sign that says Ozone Falls. From here you can take the plunge pool trail around down into the gorge or the rim trail to the falls and repel down which takes a 60m rope.
