Tendon pain in wrist

I was wrapping up a hangboard workout by doing quick (7-8 second) deadhangs with an open-hand grip on the small ledge of the hangboard, when suddenly my left wrist starts to pop several times as it stretches out and i let go of the grip. The location of the popping middle of the wrist, and an inch or two below the bottom of my palm. The pops were quick and not terribly painful, and once I let go I actually clenched my fist to check the range of motion, and it did not hurt. I then clenched it with a little more gusto, and that's when it finally hurt. I now have a pain that is only initiated when i try to pick things up by curling the affected fingers, and by pinching/squeezing stuff with a fair amount of effort. There is no pain in my palm, or fingers - it is all in the wrist area. Any and all help or advice would be helpful. I've done some searching around, but I guess i'm wording the injury poorly as i'm not getting much information on it. Would love to get an idea of treatment and recovery time.

Thanks everyone,
Blair
