Temps at night in Black Velvet Canyon in August?

Going to Vegas to watch a friend fight this weekend and was wondering how the temps would be to do a night climb in Black Velvet Canyon? Thinking about driving down after work, and starting on a climb at like 5pm... Would it still be pretty hot then? Thanks in advance for responses.

Nope, it will be really nice at night in the 70's. Black velvet usually gets a strong breeze as well. Might even want a jacket.

Was just climbing on Ixtlan buttress last week during the day... and it was perfect at what felt like 85F. The area is in the shade by 10:30am or so, all day. You can climb half naked (or naked if you want), feel a breeze and you're cool in the mountain's shadow.

I feel like Red Rock summers are so misunderstood. There is still plenty of climbing to be had...Ice Box Canyon, chimney routes, Black Velvet....etc..

The approaches can be pretty sweaty. And I bring 3L of water just in case.

Sweet, thanks a bunch!
