Description Suggest change

The Tannheimer Gebirge (Mountains) are an excellent alpine climbing destination with a mix of semi-trad routes and multipitch sport climbs. Length of the routes is from 5 to 12 pitches, depending on the peak. By the geography of the group, most climbs are on the south faces of Rote Flüh, Hochwiesler, Gimpel and Gimpelvorbau. However more adventurous routes are on the north face of the Gimpel.

Getting There Suggest change

Access is easy. Drive to the Austrian town of Nesselwängle, then make the hour hike up to the Gimpelhaus, a large but pleasant hut about 15-30 minutes away from the routes.
