Do L and R ski track at Tahquitz share the same anchor at the top of pitch one? Any gear reccomendations for right ski track for a new leader would be appreciated. Gregory D

Big Boulder, just a bit downhill from Temple of Ka...
No.... you make an anchor off of slings.... big horns.

the ski tracks cross each other.

P1 will be the hardest for you. (a new leader)

Thanks for all of the info. This seemed to be a popular area Sunday morning with no less than 4 parties cued up. I ended up following rt ski track to the first belay which was a semi hanging cluster half way up the second section of the crack. (Not reccomended) We then finished the climb on left ski track, straight up version. Then we did the first pitch of the Chauvinist. Cool first moves right off the ground followed by a pumpy hand jam section. After that it was highly featured crack/ face section. Fun day with great weather and company. Gregory D
