| Here is the link to my photos from Cortes Bank a few days ago, greghuglin.smugmug.com/ They are mostly untuned-up (uncropped, Photoshopped, etc.) and in complete sequences. Perhaps there’s too many, but I expect the surfers would prefer to see the whole wave rather than my selects. There are galleries of each athlete in alphabetical order by first names: Aaron Gold, Ben Wilkinson, Chapman Murphey, Danilo Couto, Dave Wassel, Garrett McNamara, Grant ‘Twiggy’ Baker, Greg Long, Jamie Mitchell, Jason Murray, Keali’i Mamala, Kohl Christensen, Landon McNamara, Mark Healey, Peter Mel, Shane Dorian, Shawn Alladio, and Shawn Dollar. Sorry if I didn’t catch your great wave. I left in the wipeouts and did not include some of the ‘lifestyle shots’. Some of the images are a little less than perfect but that’s the way it goes. Please feel free to share this link. Thanks to everyone involved who made this Cortes adventure happen. It was great to see old friends and make some new ones. Many thanks to the surfers who risked everything and put on a great performance. It was an absolute joy and privilege to be there, thank you everyone. Greg Huglin

| Aloha! I just moved to Oahu a few days ago and got the chance to surf. It was a blast. Now I'm trying to figure out exactly what kind of board to get. Does anybody here have any good suggestions on surfing literature to learn all there is to know about it? Kinda how Freedom of the Hills is for climbing. Mahalo! | FLAG |

| frenchtoast,Hit the shops, library,Just hang out at the beach and try to figure out how not to be a KOOK until you get better. Surfing is a life journey. I feel that the very best way to get started especially on Oahu is find a credible and established guide he will be able to pave the way and give you invaluable inside knowledge. It's more what not to do rather than what to do. Keep us posted Dude!

| Happy New Year Ya'll! Yesterday was just too big for me to surf here on the north shore of Maui. It was closing out all the channels up and down the coast. When it gets that big there is one wave that can hold the size. So I went out to Peahi "Jaws" where they were paddling in. It was big it wasn't monumental size for Jaws. It was quite a show!
