Climbed Infrared the other day and it was amazing!
Everything went smooth, but we kind of had an epic of a descent. Even though we did not knot the ends, somehow a knot was created at the end of the rope when we threw it. Of course we didn't realize this until letting the rope float back into space after rapping the overhanging corner pitch. Stuck with only a static line, we couldn't lead back up. Rapping with the 60m static went fine until the last rap. When pulling the rope, knot and tangle free, it pigtailed and got twisted and stuck in the metolius rap hanger. We had just enough to fix a single strand and get down. By this time it was dark since we chilled on the summit for a good while.
Just wanted to give people a heads up, and sorry for leaving all this rope on such a beautiful route (though they hang away from any of the climbing). I'm not going to be able to get back on the route for around week, so if anyone is planning to climb it, you only need to bring one rope, and you'll get a nice bit of beer from me when you return to town.
