My wife and I rapped from the second pitch anchors of Rising Moons today rather than finish the route and do the better descent because it was getting late, and of course we managed to get a rope stuck on this notorious rope eater. I think it could be freed easily by someone climbing the route, but I wasn't really in the mood to re-lead, try my luck on the pull again, and then descend by headlamp. We're headed out of town, but if somebody gets it down I'll happily paypal you $50 plus the cost of shipping, or make a $100 donation to the Access Fund in your name. It's a yellow Beal 9.8, has some miles on it but isn't in bad shape. I won it in an access fund raffle and so far it's been pretty lucky, so I'd love to get it back. Judging by where the middle mark was when it hung I think even if it had to be cut it would still be worthwhile, it's only the last 10' or so that's stuck.
