Description 

This is a remote crag lost in an infinite valley of rock. It was named after the discoverers of a unique Colorado wide crack.

Getting There 

From Buffalo Creek, drive south on CO Highway 67. After descending the big hill almost to Deckers, turn right on the narrow dirt road that leads to the Wigwam turn (no), Sheep Rock, Goose Creek Campground. A couple miles past Goose Creek, turn right and climb a few miles to Lost Creek Trailhead.

The Lost Creek Trail begins with a bit of downhill through the last bit of burned forest. Four miles of nice trail lead to the Shafthouse junction. After crossing the Watkins Gulch Brook, climb steeply and look left for a faint path, before cresting.

The path is good, first traversing to a saddle, then descending to a bushy creek crossing (Reservoir Gulch). A hundred feet or so above the creek is another path. Follow the path to the next second saddle, then descend to Lost Creek. Head downstream, through some tight fir trees, until the last chance to cross Lost Creek on gravel, just above the giant boulder that covers the creek. Follow ramps of rock and steep trail-less hillside to the west side of the crag. Hmm...Fresh Meat! is in a dihedral that faces left. It can't be seen at all until your about there.

This is four miles of trail and one mile of cross-country.
