Early Spring this area is beautiful with new foliage blooming. Early Summer through early fall is very hot, sunny, dry, secluded, dusty, but dense foliage gives shade to reptiles, squirrels, and rabbits.

Getting There Suggest change

Take the 8 East to rt 79 Julian/Cuyamaca State Park exit. Drive straight until you see a sign on the right of the road that says Pine Valley and take left road across the street. Drive straight until you reach 2nd Cuyamaca State Park campsite called Paso Pacacho.
