Description
Possibilities abound here for pleasure climbers and beginners. The wall is hidden in the forest, so it stays shady and cool throughout the summer. The routes climb either pockets or cracks, and therefore a set of stoppers and slings would be good to bring.
Getting There
If you're coming from Nuremberg, your fastest option would likely be to take the A9 north towards Bayreuth and Dresden. Take exit 46 for Plech and loop around back under the Autobahn and head towards Betzenstein. Drive through Betzenstein and on the left, before you completely leave Betzenstein, you'll see a sign pointing towards Stierberg. Take this road and drive to Stierberg. Take the first left in Stierberg, which will T into a road, where you'll take the left. Drive down this road and look for a parking spot after about 1.2km. The crag is in the forest on the right in the direction that you were driving. You also likely drove past it, so head back (on foot) towards Stierberg for about 300m. On your left there are a couple of trails heading into the forest. When you get into the forest, you'll be able to see the rock. Head uphill on any trail you choose to get there.
