The Coronado National Forest has Stage II fire restrictions in place. Here are the prohibitions that are relative to climbing:

Building, maintaining, attending or using a fire, campfire, charcoal or wood stove fire, including within a developed recreation site or improved site. Petroleum-fueled stoves, lanterns, etc. are OK.

Smoking, except within an enclosed vehicle or building.

Possessing or using a motor vehicle off National Forest system roads except when parking in an area devoid of vegetation within 30 feet of the roadway. and except for parking overnight in Forest Service developed campgrounds and trailheads.

The restrictions remain in place until July 31 or until they are rescinded due to decreased fire danger. The penalties are similar to those associated with Peregrine Falcons: fine of not more than $5000 and/or imprisonment for not more that six months.
