This area is much cooler that the first buttress area and provides a pleasant alternative on hot days. There is a wide variety of routes here, both sport and trad. The rock is mostly good but the lack of traffic means that routes might have a bit of loose stuff sitting around.
Spring Creek is the canyon just behind the Harmel's area. From Harmel's (about 7 miles from Almont), turn left (north) on Spring Creek Road. This turn is right at the store. After about 2 miles the road turns dirt - the climbing starts almost immediately after this point.

This is the right route on the wall. It starts with 2 black bolts and is obvious. Good climb and very well-bolted. There are some decent rests as well as a little knee bar at the third bolt which isn't really needed but fun.
