I am planing a road trip for spring break out to colorado and Utah to do some bouldering and I wanted to get some recommendations on some spots that would be worth checking out. Right now the only place that I am for sure going is Joes Valley in Utah. I am relatively new to climbing, so I hope to be climbing around V4-6 by then. Also if there are any places you think I should check out that are not climbing related let me know!
Spring in colorado is hit or miss for bouldering. depending on the temperature in Joes, it may be a better idea to stay there. If its hot as all hell in joes Durango areas, Newlin and Poudre will be great but I personally wouldnt leave Joes to boulder around Boulder(or other Front range areas). Skiing around that time is pretty nice though
You could probably hit up Morrison, Flagstaff, and Satellites if you are in the Dnever/Boulder area. If you are driving to Utah from the east it is most likely on the way. The weather could be anything to sunny and 70F to a pounding snowstorm.
Go to Flagstaff if you want to get shut down on a bunch of V1-2 problems. :)
Brice my spring break is the 2nd week of March. I have never been out to that area but I figure if the weather is to bad to climb I could just go skiing up near Salt Lake city.
