Hi all, I'm getting married in June next year and for our honeymoon we're going to Italy and possibly Switzerland. We're flying into Rome, and then spending a few days in Venice.
Where would be a good place to climb? I climb about 5.12- (with some hard work) and my fiance climbs about 5.10. Somewhere with a good (cheapish hopefully) place to stay and relatively easy approach would be ideal! Also something up to 5 pitches, I wouldn't mind on getting on something big!

Reward yourself's and go to Sardinia! Its an overnight ferry from mainland Italy, or a cheap flight, mine was 12 euros from france (not kidding!) but you will want the car. The whole island is amazing, not just for climbing (the climbing is world class) insane beaches, great food, beautiful landscapes, history, archaeology, very cheap compared to Italy, and a lot less people, except the tourist hot spots. There is a ton of sport climbing, a lot of it on the beach, from easy to 5.hard and a few amazing multi-pitch sport routes to (aguglia di goloritze). Its a great place to travel, check out some of the agriturismo stuff to if you like good food.
Hope this helps, also the ferries leave close to the area of cinque terre, which is worth a trip to Italy in its own right and would be a great honeymoon spot.
Skip Venice IMO, expensive, full of people and not as romantic as you might believe, sub Cinque terre in instead. Hope this helps congrats to you both on the wedding!!
Venice is a requirement by my lady. I'm stoked on it too though, I cannot wait to check it out. The trip plan right now is Rome -> Venice -> Cinque Terre -> Sardinia -> Rome.
Sardinia will probably be quite hot that time of year, but it sure looks sweet.
Consider the dolomites. There is tons of single pitch to 30 pitch climbing on some of the most dramatic peaks in the world. The place I am currently staying at in corvara is 26 euros per person per night, we have our own apartment, kitchenette, full bath etc...
hit me up for more information, also roger r posts a bunch of info about the area and has been climbing here for some 50 years or so.
