Sport Climbing Near NYC

I just moved to NYC and was wondering where the best place to sport climb is. I have read up and found West Point however it seems as if it's not quite legally allowed. Just wondering if anyone knows some good sport climbing places not to far from NYC.

Best places for sport "near" NYC are Rumney, birdsboro PA, safe harbor PA, and some places in MA. Overall the tristate area has a heavy Trad influence with great rock for learning trad - the Gunks & Daks.
