The Red and HCR both have the potential to be great as well. michaeltarne

Climbed in the Bishop area last March.....hit the Owens River, Pine Creek Canyon, and the Alabama Hills. All great climbing spots and we barely scratched the surface, or bouldered haha. Climb in the sun and its toasty and climb in the shade for harder routes. Nights are the perfect temp and plentiful free camping all over the place....when you want to get fancy head into Bishop for a $40/night hotel. Nick Votto

The Red and The New are always going to be my answers. Unfortunately the Red can be a shit show and the New can be wet, especially in March.

I've always had a hard time passing up a chance at California because of the consistent weather.
