Sport Climbing Center To Host Dry Tooling Comp

More to follow shortly but the Sport Climbing Center in Colorado Springs is set to host an open dry tooling comp on the evening of Nov 8th 2014. Please plan to come join, compete or even just spectate. Additional details will be forthcoming in the near future.

Sounds fun! Wish some of the gyms around here would do something like that.

Has that gym had drytool comps there before?

SCC has not held a comp previously but I can assure you it will be a first class event. The list of sponsors and seasoned climbers already committed to the event should ensure quite a wonderful evening for both spectators and climbers alike.

So psyched for this comp! I enjoy drytooling so much that I compete just for the fun of it! I don't have any delusions that I could win or anything, but it is great to have a local event like this happening to get me training hard (just for the enjoyment of hanging out with awesome people)!

I'm super psyched that we have this happening in the Springs. We have a robust Ice Climbing community here in SOCO and this is THE best way to bring everybody together for a night of fun, and to meet partners new and old for the upcoming season. SCC and CityRock have offered a tremendous amount of support.

I'm planning on competing for the first time and hope to not skate off the first hold. But even if I do, it will be among friends.

Can't wait to see everyone there!
