| Funny you should mention that... Planning a trip to Ten Sleep, Spearfish and the VC as we speak. I'll be sure to pick up your new guide. You have no idea how happy I am that my folks decided to spend their Summer in Rapid City. If they only knew how to belay! | FLAG |

| Let me know if you need partners while in the Black Hills. The VC is literally in Rapid City, good place to have your parents. | FLAG |

| Planning a sport climbing trip to SD this April. We will try to climb both Spearfish and Rushmore areas if time allows, but does anyone have a strong preference for either location? How about camping or cheap cabin rental recommendations? Thanks | FLAG |

| It is hard to pick between them because they couldn't be much more different. That said, if I was to pick one it would be Rushmore since it is so unique. Granite sport climbing on a forest of spires is pretty damn cool. It doesn't take very long to go back and forth between them so no reason not to go to both. | FLAG |

| Do you prefer vertical/slabby routes with crystal pinching or vertical/overhanging routes with pockets, pinches and edges. Also temps during your trip can determine your choice. Spearfish canyon has a few different cabin rentals as does Rushmore. Should be able to find them on the net. Camping is free in nfs campgrounds until memorial day. | FLAG |
