Heading towards the SW this December/January. Looking for easy, long trad climbs in the sun. We're already familiar with JT and RR. Anything else out there in southern Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah or Cali with warmer days, easy camping (we have a VW pop-up), and long, fun, non-epic climbs?

Thanks in advance,

Cochise, or possibly Mendoza Canyon.

I don't know how long you want your routes, but Snow Canyon in Saint George, Utah has a lot of fun multi-pitch. Worth checking out.

Weavers Needle in central AZ is a good way to spend a day. Not the best climbing, but a cool, scenic thing to do.

Just east of the RR tracks on 60, maybe 10 miles east of the Peralta Road, there's a south on a dirt road through a cattle gate that has a bunch of good, free camping that's clear of the belly of the beast known as Phoenix.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
