Hi, i am in a time of transition and have always wanted to spend a good bit more time in Moab area. I love the desert, i love open spaces, sandstone, water and cracks.

So my question to the mountianproject community who know Moab better than I, is how is living in Moab during the winter, there is a good possibility that if things go well it would become a permanent move.

I am a climber, have been for years, like it all but am more of a crack climber, that is what i really enjoy and want to do more of.

I will be a single male in my 30's, i am willing and capable of most any work be it mental or physical, it is more of how quiet will it be, does anyone have any suggestions of living options (anyone got a room to rent).

I have lived in many places and certainly some towns are really hard to break into especially if you are a single guy.

If anyone has any suggestions that would be great.

Thanks

Mug shot!

It is a harsh Winter wasteland. You might have to eat the week or even cut open the fat one and climb in for warmth...ya' know like Star Wars!

Moab rocks all winter, have fun and be safe! Start BASE jumping.

Have you looked at Grand Junction? It has the Colorado National Monument right there along along with other crack climbing close by, Moab area is little over an hour away, there's Rifle close by if you need a break from sandstone. and being single and 30 will be a lot easier in a bigger community than in a small seasonal tourist town. more work opportunities too..

Thanks for the imput.

Anyone got a room out there that they are looking to rent.

I am tidy, pay rent on time, and am usually an early to bed early to rise kind of person.

Thanks
