Sunset climbing on "Colossus”, 5.10c, at City of Rocks, ID in July 2006

We'll be passing through the St. George area in a couple weeks and I'm hoping someone might have some suggestions for good, dispersed (free) camping in the area. The St. George page here on MP mentions camping on BLM land and I'm sure we'll find it but perhaps someone knows of a great spot?
Thanks!

Me doing a "Vertical Limit" entrance style to the base of this climb on the Matanuska Glacier. It's a pretty fun place for the summer time to go ice climbing on top rope.

not sure if its too late, but there is some free camping at the base of Green Valley Gap.
Get on Dixie Drive, and make a right up Canyon View Rd. At the start of this road, there will be a sign for the Green Valley Spa. The spa will be on your left, along with palm trees. Contiue down down the Canyon View rd. until it ends and then bear right on the dirt road which wraps around the hill. The gap should be obvious at this point. At the base of the hill you follow it to your left, you should see some spots to set up camp near the firehidrant.
The gap has some sport routes and moe's valley is next door for some bouldering.

Thanks Kyle! We passed through but due to the heat we just kept heading north and found some camping near Beaver, UT. However, we were very impressed with the St. George area so your camping beta will prove useful for a future trip.
