Alright Bruce, here goes:
First, thanks for the link... a cool read.
"Maybe you should lead the route then post?" The potential ledge fall worried me a bit, so I TR'ed it. Since the Suicide page was virtually stagnant the last year, I decided to post the route. Better than nothing IMHO. And I tried my best to give good accurate (ego free) beta, which again is the main purpose of this whole website. If it'd make you feel better I can see about deleting it so you can post it... really. Still, I think my beta is pretty good. Do you disagree? "Oh,and yes I have lead the route." Congratulations.
"And yes they too have "back in the day bravado" syndrome, We all do.(Us old Guys)" I'm fine with that, I'd just prefer that you try to suppress your "condition" when giving route info to others.
"Show some respect for those before you and learn." Learn what exactly? You'll get far more respect when you don't sandbag people.
"Let your Climbing do the Talking." My ego doesn't really rest on my climbing ability or boldness, so I guess I'm just SOL there. But you should know, I'm not some straight out of the gym punk who is whining about the bolts not being 4 feet apart. I just want to have a realistic idea of what I'm getting myself into, that's all.
"Then you'll have something to write about." I'd be perfectly happy to never post up another route again, so long as somebody beats me to it with accurate (as objective as you can, Bruce) info.
I never meant to offend you dude, er, sir. Like I said before, I just want to figure out whose beta is good and whose is not. By good I mean (somewhat) objective and realistic, and not ego driven. I don't know Bruce, maybe your a cool guy in real life or maybe we just don't see eye to eye. Either way, I'm getting bored with this. | |
