I'm mentioning this because I figure many climbers/hikers are skiers as well, and might be interested.

The Caltech Alpine Club is hosting the SoCal premiere of Teton Gravity Research's (http://www.tetongravity.com/ ) latest film, Under the Influence (http://www.tetongravity.com/undertheinfluence/ ).

The event is in a large auditorium on the Caltech campus in Pasadena, and tickets can be purchased through Caltech Public Events (http://events.caltech.edu ) and are only $5. The film will be shown at 8 PM on Wed, October 29th. More details and a poster can be found on the Caltech Alpine Club's website (http://alpine.caltech.edu ). We're keeping the price low to increase turnout, and we're not hoping to make a profit.

In addition to the film, we'll hold a raffle around 7:30 PM with prizes from various sponsors. We hope to get prizes like free skis and lift tickets.
