South Rim Access Info.... MORE INFO >>> Access is from the Main Wall along a shelf high above the river. There is a metal cable strung along most of this shelf. Clip into the cable with a long sling and biner for safety. You will also see a large rectangular frame and platform jutting out from the cliff. This is a feature reserved exclusively for Camp Eagle. Description 

The largest of the climbing areas, the South Rim Wall was named in tribute to the spectacular South Rim of Big Bend National Park. Accessed from a substantial shelf via the Main Wall, you're already high above the river before you even start climbing. More exposure, more scenery, and all around great Texas limestone.

Getting There 

Access is via the Main Wall. Much of this area has a metal cable bolted along it for safety. Count the anchor bolts holding this cable as you travel along to know where you are.
