Solo TRing Offwidths

I'm tempted to try solo TRing Generator Crack & Doggie Do.

Naturally having a mini-traxion clipped directly to a belay loop would be a problem for the tight climbing (esp. the tunneling portion of Generator). So would a chest harness to keep the top one upright.

I would think that in both cases I should have the system extended out from my harness, say on a PAS or double sling? I'd think that since movement increments are so small and you should be able to get at least one hand free between ratchets, I should have ample opportunity to fiddle with uprighting the device or dealing with any slack build up, pulling the Traxion up with me.

Does anyone have thoughts about this? Good idea? Bad idea? Other ideas?

Ditch the harness, use a swami, run your regular minitrax set up on the swami with it rotated around to your hip so it is out of the way.

I don't use a chest harness with minis, I loop shock cord through the upper one's hole and wear it over one shoulder like a sling, this will still work with the swami setyp.

Go ahead and do it. It's still less of a hassle than leading the thing with a full rack.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
