snow on Mount Conness/Yosemite high country in May?

Noting that this winter has been especially dry, anyone have a sense of how much snow to expect on Mt Conness. I'm thinking about doing the West Ridge in mid-May, if I can avoid much travel on snow. I've only been in the Sierras in late summer in the past. Has anyone been up there recently or think they have a good sense of what I'd encounter?

Here's a link (from a Supertopo thread) to weather and snow info in Tuolumne Meadows:

So that's 8,600 feet . You can look at other reporting stations for higher elevations ...

I would guess the route itself would be pretty snow free. But I do know for sure that snow tends to hang on at the base of the SW face there , and that approach gulley, below the Harding Route , where you would approach from .

The road may not even be open during mid-May

Last I read they were shooting for Memorial Day , and even if Tioga is open , Saddleback Rd. will almost definitely be closed , no big deal , it just adds an extra couple (easy) miles to the approach...

The pass through Yosemite will most likely not be open, but the road to the gate from the eastside, should be open.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
