I am hoping to stop by Smith or Leavenworth (Icicle Creek)( or Tieto River this coming weekend on the way to the N Cascades, and they are forecasting precipitation at all these places Thu (and Fri). How long does it take for the rock to dry/how long do I have to wait for it to be safe the climb after it rains) at these crags?

At Smith, the rock dries very quickly. You can usually climb the day after a rainy night or even later in the same day as it rains. I've gotten plenty of climbing in on "rainy" days. Have a great trip! I hope the weather works out.

I've never worried about the tuff at smith drying out... there may be some stories about knobs popping more frequently after wet weather, but in the summer the rock rarely gets very wet, since the small amount of precipitation is mostly afternoon showers. Tieton (andesite) and Leavenworth (granite) also should be fine.

A bigger factor in your decision may be the wildfire burning near Goldendale that will likely keep Satus Pass (US 97 north of the columbia) closed for the next few days:
