Looking to give back a bit and do some anchor/bolt maintenance at Smith. Don't care what routes, just wherever needs it. Problem is, I don't know wtf I'm doing. Never placed a bolt before. I know it's not rocket science, but I'd love to learn from someone who's done it before. Anyone know who I could get in touch with?

This is a really great offer - good luck finding a local mentor. Your'e right, bolting isn't rocket science (although the initial placement is definitely an art), but its important to do it right!

Honestly your best bet would be to check-in with the guys at Redpoint or contact Jim Ablao, the owner of Chockstone Climbing Guides. They're the ones who do about 90% of the retro-bolting in the park. You could ask them to teach you, but more than likely they will probably do it themselves.
The rock quality at Smith is varied just enough that you really don't want to be guessing at whether or not your new bolt is good to go.
Good luck!
