me (about to sneeze)

So I was considering a trip out to Smith Rock the first week of June (just happen to be coming to Portland for a work conference). Is the weather sufferable for climbing? Any idea what the temperatures will be like?

Are you Chicken, or fishy?

It can be done, although you'll be chasing shade and starting very early. If I was you I would take the opportunity to check out the very good climbing in the Portland Area, June is typically very good weather in Portland, and the only time I want to be in the area. Look at Ozone, French's Dome and Broughton's Bluff.

Or go up to Squamish.

Racked and loaded... name that splitter behind me? Hint, its on Supercrack Buttress

The lower gorge (trad cracks) is perfect in June in the afternoons and evenings. Shade and a nice breeze delivering a swamp cooler effect with the river.

And June can be crap weather in Portland... 50/50 for climable weather in June. Portland tends to get nice in late June to early July.
