The Smarts Brook Area encompasses all of the climbing that is accessed off the Smarts Brook Trail. From the most convenient bouldering in the area, to one of the most inaccessible cliffs in the Waterville Region, Smarts Brook has something for everyone--that is, if everyone likes hiking and getting lost.

Getting There Suggest change

Drive up Highway 49 toward Waterville. Shortly after the historic Sandwich Notch Road veers off to the right, you'll see the fairly large parking area for the Smarts Brook Trail on the right side of the road. Park there. All climbing is accessed off the Smarts Brook Trail.
