DescriptionA great place to get started. Getting ThereHike up the trail for 5-10 minutes. When you enter the canyon and the trail flattens out, it dips down a little and the large, dark boulders will be hugging the right side of the trail. The Slow Dance Cave faces the East Rim and cannot be seen from the main trail. Walk between the boulders where you will see the Corner Boulder perched just up-slope from the Slow Dance Cave. Keep it tight for a radical sequence through the large dish to a gaston, and finally, a baseball-sized pocket and the huge shelf. Beautiful.(Word has it the starting pinch and a crucial foot have been steadily disintegrating over time, so step lightly and/or get this done quick.)...[more] Browse More Classics in CA |
