Access Issue: Peregrine Closures
Details
Some walls at Shelving Rock experience annual peregrine closures. Please check the DEC web site to make sure your wall of choice is open.

Description
Sweet but short hand crack. FA unknown, I found an old cam - rusted to death - and bail biner at the top of the crack. As with all new Shelving routes, watch for loose rock.
Location
Far left end of the Main Wall, maybe 150 feet from the left end. You can see the right end of the Carhartt Wall from here, at least when the leaves are off the trees. The anchor at the top also sets up the steep right-facing corner to the right. This can be stemmed at 5.5, or you can climb just the (overhanging) left wall of the corner at (tentative) 5.11a. These lines have been cleaned but not yet led.
