Is any multi-pitch rock reasonable to climb so late in the year? Too cold? What can I expect? Too early for good ice?

Depends on the weather and what you consider "reasonable".

Can be ok ice then.

You can expect conditions to vary from deep snow, to, warm and sunny rock on south facing exposures...

Well, is it often below 45 F and windy? No wind, sun, and at least 50 degrees I can handle it. Otherwise maybe sport climbing.

I'm not a particularly bold ice climber, so it would have to be reasonably fat and predictable (or TR). I'll be there one way or the other, so hope the weather cooperates for something!

If it's a dry winter you'll have perfect conditions. If not then just shred pow or head to the desert.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
