Skyline Boulders Climbing

The Skyline Boulders, AKA The Danger boulders have been climbed on since the early 90's and quite possibly even earlier. In the early days climbers did the most obvious easily accessible problems, but during a huge snow year in 2009-2010, the area saw a large pulse of new development. This area holds hundreds of boulder problems ranging from 5.5 to V-Project. It is best to climb here when it is extremely cold, as it is arguably the quickest area to melt out after a large snow storm in Northern Arizona. The Skyline boulders are composed Dacite boulders and cliff bands that climb similarly to granite with small edges and bad feet; but the south facing aspect provides for extremely enjoyable bouldering conditions in the bitter cold of winter. The sunny perch offers the best concentration of problems ranging from VO-V8 and gets plenty of sun. The sky cave also has a nice concentration of mostly more difficult steep problems. Other than that there are boulder problems scattered all over the hillside, several problems have been left off but this is a nice start.
