Ski binding mount near Boulder
|
Who do you guys use to mount bindings (I am not that interested in doing it myself, thanks)? |
|
Never had any problems with Neptune, but Boulder Nordic Sports also mounts AT bindings. Or you could drive down to BentGate in Golden. |

alpine base n edge does top notch work, owner is a dick tho. Boulder ski deals or larry's boot fitters will also do a good job |

Neptune is the obvious choice, however, I used Neptune with my last pair, the binding screws started backing out after a few weeks of use, suddenly noticed a 2-3 mm gap b/w the binding and the ski, took it back in and they said "oh that happens sometimes" dumped some glue on it and screwed it back down. Perhaps it was just one poor tech they had, but if there are other mounters people suggest I would love to hear about it.The screws backing out would depend on if the skis core are made from wood or foam. A drop or two of gorilla glue, titebond 2 or 3m 5200 for wood or epoxy for foam will keep the screws tight. If the screws are backing out then they fvcked upped by not curring the glue at the right temperature for the recommended amount of time. It doesn't "Just Happen" on its own. Either way if you are not willing to learn how it's done then take it to Larry, he is the best in town. If you want to do it on your own here is a link to educate yourself. Read the full instructions. this isn't rocket science. If you have any questions PM Lou or do a search over on TGR. wildsnow.com/articles/dynaf… |
