40 bucks at home depot for a nice unit, cant be beat |

If all your gear fits in one of these things, you're either a n00b, or a "Sport climber" (Neither meant as an insult). That's not even large enough to hold my shoes. |
|
Or Alex Honhold, Locker. I don't imagine he needs much gear... ;-) |

Peg board! |

That's not even large enough to hold my shoes.I am relatively new (Definitely not sporting quintuples of BD .3-6 like some guys on here ;), but I use a couple to organize everything. And, a lack of ropes means a lot less space is needed... I need a new rope... |

I mean this in a nice way, Brian C, but when I see gear that well organized, I automatically assume "crazy person." |

"when I see gear that well organized, I automatically assume "crazy person."...".
And when I see gear THAT organized, I go to that old annoying climbing saying... "If your gear is organized, you ain't climbing enough" ;-) (Also just kidding around) |

EricV wrote: Probably not what you're looking for, but it works for meI use about 3 of these (or something quite similar). #1 has 3 ropes and some rope tarps/bags - These are my older or heavier ropes. #2 has all the gear I don't need often - Aid Gear/Spare Stuff (lots of harnesses) /Wife's Stuff #3 Holds my typical trad rack and sport rack ready to go, with optional extra stuff loose in the bottom. My go-to rope is also in this bin. Shoes go in a plastic milk crate so they get aired out. All this stuff sits on a shelf under a workbench in my garage. My packs sit on top of the bins. |

Totally not climbing enough these days! I guess that's what having a kid will do to you. Haha. |

"Totally not climbing enough these days! I guess that's what having a kid will do to you. Haha.".
Just an excuse. I was a SINGLE PARENT and still climbed on an almost daily basis... How???... This should give some idea (though many years into it at this point) My son at 16 My son at 16 in this photo and already a seasoned climber having gotten 11 straight years under his belt. By 12 he was my main partner and that boy could climb! ;-) |

These guys are really good... stackable, locking handles, durable. Got one small one in the car with gear and few big ones at home. |
|
I wanted to play along since I've always gotten a kick out of how I manage to store all this: |
|
Plastic Shelves, and Steriltie Tubs are all you need. I have boxes for ropes, shoes, rack, packs etc etc. Edit To Add: GET THE CLEAR or Semi Clear ones so you can SEE what the hell you put in each one. |

Thanks for the inspiration on climbing with a kid! Mine is 11 weeks old and is just starting to get happier sitting around. I plan on getting him out at a young age. |

5 Haul bags take care of the gear. |
