BETA PHOTO: Avalanche Buttress 2. Shortness 5.10 3. Sweetness ...

  • Located in the Lone Peak Wilderness Area MORE INFO >>>
  • Located in a National Forest Fee Area MORE INFO >>>

  • Description

Slightly less strenuous but more technical than its neighbor to the right. Probably not worth the hike just to climb these two 5.10ís, but worth doing while at Avalanche Buttress. The crux is getting past the second bolt on less than stellar feet and crimps.

    Location

The LEFT of two routes on the south-west side of the bulge at the left (uphill) end of the buttress.

    Protection

4 bolts to welded cold-shut anchors
(The second bolt was added since the Ruckman guide was published.)
